The great thing about spending the day in Paris, due to a 12 hour layover, is that it's not a destination I would every choose for a vacation. I prefer the more exotic or hard core locales. After walking around for about 10 minutes, I thought to myself, "Ohhhhhh, this is why Paris is a big deal."
